The Town Board department in a rural district council is the local governing body. They:
- Make local rules and plans.
- Manage the town’s day-to-day operations.
- Handle the town’s money.
- Represent the people who live there.
- Plan for the town’s future.
- Ensure local rules are followed.
- Oversee local services.
Essentially, they’re responsible for running the town and making sure it meets the needs of its residents.
